iDPA Plus Introduced at PRINT 13, Advancing the Future of Productivity Intelligence

Melville, NY, 8 September 2013 – The SpencerLab Digital Color laboratory unveiled SpencerMetrics iDPATM Plus, a “MUST SEE ‘EMS” award winner, at PRINT 13. Held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, through 12 September 2013. SpencerLab is internationally known as a leader in unbiased, third-party research and testing of digital imaging and printing system performance.

The SpencerMetrics iDPA system was introduced in February 2013. This powerful tool helps press owners by pinpointing opportunities to increase productivity, analyzing press operation and operator knowledge on the print shop floor. As well as providing more detailed, specific information than existing systems. A cloud-based system with on-demand real-time data analysis makes the analyses easily accessible. Available anytime, anywhere – on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or even a smartphone.

The new and upgraded SpencerMetrics iDPA Plus provides managers and press owners with a robust comparison capability. As well as enhanced ease and depth of data capture.

iDPA Plus allows management to easily compare shifts, different workflow periods, or multiple presses – even of different brands. The data includes press performance, pre-press errors, media problems, etc. In conjunction with human assessments such as unacceptable print quality or incorrect color or media usage – and much more. Data is instantly analyzed on demand. Results are presented in an intuitive graphical format providing an overview of all press activities. It’s that easy.

As in the original release, data may be viewed over a selected time period – by months, weeks, days, or even shifts – along with overall averages for the period. New in this release, management can optionally include idle time, and explore category details such as proof vs. production printing, individual consumable activities, etc. Also featured are individual and comparison tables of total time, number of occurrences, and average time per occurrence of an activity over the selected period.

The SpencerMetrics iDPA Plus team is at Booth #4741, offering demonstrations of the system and other SpencerLab products and services. The system will be available with special PRINT 13 discounts.
